About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development and Diversity Lead to join our External Games team. This role will report to the VP of External Games and lead the development and implementation of our games Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy across the External Games portfolio, including plans for inclusive and accessible games. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and executing a strong DEI strategy for games, with the ability to support external development teams to deliver must-play games.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage a shared DEI strategic vision for External Games, including best practices, programs, goals, and budget.
- Inspire the External Games team to integrate the DEI strategic vision as an essential part of our game acquisition, development, and design structure.
- Collaborate with the External Games team to ensure diversity is an integral part of our game acquisition, development, and design systems.
- Provide External Partner education to ensure our developers are well-equipped and understand what our members need.
- Work with game teams to support their inclusive design needs.
- Build, maintain, and operationalize accessibility guidelines and workflows to support inclusion.
- Support external partners as they approach game development with an inclusion focus, including providing feedback and overseeing the work of specific consultants and vendors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence and embed inclusion and accessibility into strategies for Games research, QA, platform, and discovery.
- Ensure development teams have access to the right training and learning opportunities to improve their ability to create open and inclusive games.
- Work with the VP, External Games to create a clear Games industry influence strategy to define how we can best serve the industry as well as support and amplify underrepresented talent.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in game diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
- Experience in game development environments across mobile and PC.
- Deep diversity and inclusion knowledge with experience executing high-level strategy into successful projects that drive change.
- Experience planning and leading global projects at scale with an established perspective on what DEI can mean for the games industry.
- Strategic leadership skills.
- Experience driving through influence and motivation, with the ability to use relationships to advance outcomes.
- Collaborative with the ability to structure mutually beneficial partnerships.
- An uncanny ability to arrive at solutions through creative strategies and develop a plan to set them in motion.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with different stakeholders, effectively communicating everything from information to creative feedback.
- A passion for video games, developments in software, and how they enhance the player experience.
- Understanding of the landscape and new developments in inclusion, accessibility, and representation in new media, tech, and media outlets.

- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in the games industry.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including game development, marketing, and sales.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
