About the Role
As an Area Manager at Amazon Fulfillment Center DFW7, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance within your team. You'll lead a team of hourly workforce, engaging with them during their shifts to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Your goal will be to meet customer expectations by delivering orders at the right time, to the right location.
Key Responsibilities and Job Elements
- Leadership and Team Management: Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve exceptional results.
- Safety and Quality: Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans that meet business objectives.
- Physical Demands: Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
- Work Environment: Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud. Be prepared to work in variable temperatures and weather conditions (delivery stations include outside loading departments).
- Flexibility: Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
