Key Responsibilities
- Address Inbound Customer Inquiries: Respond to customer questions and concerns arriving via phone and email, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Own the Customer Interaction: Take ownership of the entire customer interaction, ensuring that their needs are fully met and exceeded.
- Collaborate with Associates and Partners: Work with other Global Industrial associates, product managers, and partners to gather information, resolve customer needs, and improve processes.
- Investigate and Resolve Customer Inquiries: Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to orders or shipments, providing order status updates, checking inventory, scheduling returns, and filing shipping claims.
- Document Interactions: Update systems and document all interactions with customers, associates, and partners.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot problems, handle complaints, and assist with billing inquiries.
Essential Qualifications
- Previous Customer Service Experience: 2+ years of previous customer service experience in a phone/email contact center.
- High School Diploma or GED: High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong phone contact handling and active listening skills, with excellent written communication and comprehension.
- Independent Decision-Making: Ability to make independent decisions and handle complex issues.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Windows-based systems, digital soft phones, and CRM systems and practices.
