Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through:
• Planning and organizing instructional methods and resources
• Programmatic accreditation (if applicable)
• Facilitating student engagement in the classroom/learning environment
• Working one-on-one with students
• Assessing students and providing developmental feedback
Essential Functions:
• Review and adapt master syllabi for course consistency
• Create and utilize assessments appropriate for undergraduate learning level
• Create interactive learning materials, exams, and projects/assignments
• Coordinate with librarian and/or bookstore for availability of materials
• Administer pre-test/post-test (undergraduate programs)
• Deliver lectures/facilitate labs as assigned
• Grade student assignments in a timely manner
• Provide feedback on student performance in a timely manner
• Utilize appropriate evaluations and rubrics for course assignments, projects and learning activities that correlate to course objectives
• Enforce Keiser policies (attendance, academic integrity, dress code, grading policies, and classroom policies)
• Direct and assess student progress in achieving theory (content: cognitive) and performance(competencies: psychomotor and affective) requirements of the program
• Monitor student progress and inform students of their academic standing throughout the course
• Monitor student attendance and contact students by phone, when absent
• Communicate attendance concerns to the Dean of Academics
Position Requirements:
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Master's Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice
