About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Content Partnerships Senior Manager to oversee Verizon's Fios content activities, including programming, acquisitions, development, and strategic partnerships. As a key member of our Content Strategy and Partnerships team, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of content deals and initiatives, with a focus on the Google partnership across YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, and Google's other content services. You'll also work on Sports Leagues, RSNs, and Cablenets, driving business growth and optimizing our existing deal pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with content partners and the industry at large, representing Verizon as an industry leader.
- Lead negotiations and structure deals with partners to secure content licensing agreements with the necessary rights to support Verizon's current and future businesses.
- Manage relationships with Verizon's key content providers.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure the maximization of assets, top-tier content flow, and consumer/revenue growth.
- Lead all aspects of negotiation, including contract redlining and working closely with Legal to execute long forms.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to inform content strategy and partnership decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement content marketing strategies that drive engagement and revenue growth.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience in programming, acquisition, or distribution from a best-in-class cable provider and/or content programmer and/or FAANG partnerships.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, Marketing, Product, and others.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and executing long-term agreements.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer trends, and the competitive cross-platform media and entertainment landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's or other advanced degree – MBA preferred.
- Proven leadership and excellent communication skills.
- Strong self-initiative and persistence, with the ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity in key areas.
- Deep understanding of a dynamic multi-platform content market, including linear acquisition and distribution business models, market trends, and dynamics.
- Analytical rigor and the ability to use data and analytics to drive decisions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and cross-functionally as part of a larger team.

Compensation, Perks, & Benefits

- A competitive salary range of $133,000 to $248,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
