We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Academic Tutor II to join our team at Broward College. As an Academic Tutor II, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic success by providing one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions, sharing learning strategies, and performing clerical duties. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group tutoring sessions to students in various subjects, including accounting, computer concepts, economics, English, math, science, and modern foreign languages
- Assess, assist, and encourage students during tutoring sessions to help them better understand course concepts and become independent learners
- Develop and facilitate group study sessions, workshops, and exam reviews to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student learning and academic success
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Advanced levels and proficiency in the subject areas to be tutored
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends (up to 27.5 hours per week)
- Ability to work with students from diverse educational, cultural, religious, and social backgrounds
