Ingredients for Your Success As a Corporate Chef, you will be a member of the Business Development/Sales Team and is responsible for preparing and cooking meals at the in-house Culinary Center as needed, with daily tasks relating to kitchen oversight and consultation regarding food trends, especially as relating to our specific customers. It is an exempt position with individual goals and KPI metrics, reporting to the Business Development Manager at Prime Source Foods NH headquarters. The Sales Team services food service operations, including restaurants, institutions/schools, and retail stores. You will be responsible for meeting our customers' needs by showcasing cost-competitive center-of-the-plate products along with our other category offerings during customized scheduled Customer visits in our brand-new, state-of-the-art Culinary Center and processing room. Further to the consulting aspect, you will function as an expert on Prime Cutting Room products. This position will be required to attend all Prime Source Foods Sales Meetings, Vendor Fairs, and off-site events with occasional travel to customers' locations. Although it is typically Monday-Friday, there may be schedule adjustments to accommodate travel or customer requests. This is not a remote position. • Work directly with Sales Management, Processing Room Manager, and Field Sales Representatives to carry out PSFs Mission, Vision, and Values. • Work closely with the Processing Room Manager to inform Sales Team of new products, techniques, and cost savings. • Be in tune with market conditions and trends, product offerings, and competitors' products, prices, and sales. • Identify top opportunities for business growth. • Assist with employee training sessions and General Sales Meetings. • Support all Marketing and Promotional events. • Open new accounts, penetrate existing accounts and prevent lost business. • Track customer visits and results related to case growth. • Utilize Canopy operating and reporting systems. • Provides catering or presentations for internal events occasionally. • Exercise discretion for the Culinary Center inventory levels; procure products needed for each Customer visit. • Keep food and supply costs within budget. • Manage all operations of the Culinary Center including sanitation, product rotation, laundry service, and the upkeep of equipment, displays, and the overall appearance of the Culinary Center. • Notify Facility Director of the need for any major cleaning, repair(s), or maintenance • Comply with all local and state food safety and health code regulations. • Respond to any requests for inspections of the kitchen and Culinary Center. Education/Experience required • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of Executive Chef experience in the food service industry. • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent culinary degree, 5+ years of food service sales and/or business marketing experience. License/Certification required • ServeSafe Certified • Drivers license with auto insurance coverage Knowledge & Skills • Proficient in food trends • Knowledge of profit and loss, food cost, and expense ratio • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to present to both large and small groups; quickly builds rapport with employees and customers • Work with prospective customers to build new relationships • Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives at the same time • Ability to learn and utilize Canopy (accounting software) • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams • Collaborative spirit and ability to clearly identify customer challenges, needs, or opportunities and deliver creative and productive solutions to help grow customer business and drive case growth • Facilitate internal/external food shows, catering, and event planning activities • Manage test kitchen food and supply costs within budgetary parameters • Comply with all local and state food safety and health code regulations • Accompany and respond to regulatory agency kitchen/culinary center inspections • Provide work direction to additional culinary staff, third-party vendors, and sanitation staff as necessary THE PRIME EXAMPLE Our VISION is what we aspire to be in the future.
