Job Summary
As a Home Delivery Pharmacy Technician - Remote in IA, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support, while working independently in a remote setting. You will shadow and learn from experienced technicians to demonstrate what "right" looks like in this role. Your primary responsibilities will include customer onboarding, prescription requests, entry and billing of orders, and assisting with operations support, training, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Onboarding: Welcome new patients and provide them with a seamless onboarding experience.
- Prescription Requests: Process prescription requests, including data entry, billing, and submission to fulfillment for delivery.
- Operations Support: Assist with operations support, training, and process improvements to ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Contribute to updating SOPs and team content to ensure that all processes are current and compliant.
- Pharmacy Orders: Create and route pharmacy orders through receipt, review, and verification of members'/patients' prescriptions.
- Communication: May contact members/patients/providers to validate data, request payment information, and establish priority of order or delivery details.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician license without restrictions.
- 2+ years of experience working in retail pharmacy, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient care.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Currently resides in Iowa, with a reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous pharmacy technician or patient experience.
- Call-center or telephonic work experience.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software and electronic health records.
