Details • Hospital telemetry unit setting serving adult and geriatric patients • Patient ratios of 1:4-5 • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) • Epic EMR experience is required • Performs on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring • Manages care for patients requiring feeding tube care, tracheostomy management, CPAP/BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) • Administers blood products and manages central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IVs • Provides care for CVA patients • Preferred experience includes MS/Tele, Neuro Stepdown, or PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings • Preferred experience with post-MI, pre/post cardiac cath, and pre/post cardiac surgery patients • Preferred experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, and PCA Requirements • Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) • Required cardiac telemetry unit experience • Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation is required; must pass an advanced dysrhythmia competency exam • Experience with Epic EMR required • Skills required: telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote), feeding tube care, CVA management, blood product administration, central line/PICC/peripheral IV management, isolation precautions, tracheostomy management, CPAP/BiPAP, and HFNC • PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration • Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information • Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate • 13-week assignment American Traveler Job ID #P-679877.
