About the Role
As a Remote Litigation Docket Clerk, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining our California litigation dockets, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your work. You'll work closely with attorneys and staff to provide exceptional support, utilizing your knowledge of California court rules and regulations to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electronic legal docketing via CompuLaw software, researching dates and supplementing automated information as necessary
- Review and process documents submitted to the Docket Department, determining the method of service and utilizing CompuLaw to calculate due dates and deadlines
- Proofread and review calendar entries to ensure accuracy, advising attorneys and staff accordingly
- Maintain accurate records, exercising attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Communicate effectively with attorneys and staff, providing excellent customer service and support
- Work independently in a well-organized manner, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of one year of California litigation docket experience, with a strong understanding of California court rules and regulations
- Experience with CompuLaw software (or similar docketing software)
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a college degree or equivalent preferred
- Accurate typing and word processing skills, with the ability to pay strict attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and reasoning skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
