They are seeking an Instructional Designer/Learning Architect who will develop and deliver training programs, collaborate with stakeholders, and utilize data to identify training needs.
Responsibilities
• Demonstrates Expertise: Apply up-to-date expertise to the development, execution, and improvement of training plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; support and align efforts to the business needs; and build commitment for perspectives and rationales
• Leads the Design, Development, and Execution of Training Programs: Identify and address operational needs with training development and/or enhancements; audit existing learning materials; create and oversee the development of content, procedures, and tools in a variety of media based on learning needs, target population capabilities, and job requirements; sequence learning objectives, course components, time allotments, and experiential activities; collaborate with user groups; conduct research on learner needs, knowledge and performance gaps, and needed behavioral changes; identify and recommend adult learning theories and methods that address training needs; and design training curriculum
• Leads Technology Enabled Learning Solutions: Identify new technologies to support training needs; review, analyze, and evaluate current training systems and databases; compare system functionality and training program needs; recommend e-learning solutions; and drive adoption of tools across the organization
• Provides and Supports the Implementation of Business Solutions: Build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identify business needs; determine and carry out necessary processes and practices; monitor progress and results; recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities; and adapt to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities
• Leads Training Curriculum Development: Analyze and evaluate requests for training in order to guide curriculum development; determine skill or performance gaps; develop training metrics aligned with operational key performance indicators (KPIs); develop and approve content based on instructional methods and objectives (e.g., interactive exercises, games, simulations); provide feedback and support to ensure timelines, metrics, and work quality are achieved; develop content for skill gaps identified in collaboration with the operations teams; and work with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy of training program
• Models Compliance with Company Policies and Procedures: Support the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; and demonstrate and assist others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices
• Measures Training Effectiveness: Align training assessments with the operational business; collect and evaluate training and performance data; determine training's impact on operational key performance indicators (KPIs); collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of training in addressing performance gaps; and utilize training data and feedback to revise the training programs
• Architects New Programs: Lead the architecture and development of new training programs, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization
• Leads Project Teams: Oversee project teams responsible for designing new curriculum, ensuring timelines, metrics, and work quality are achieved
• Creates Comprehensive Training: Develop training that encompasses onboarding, cross-training, upskilling/reskilling, functional business changes, employee development, and functional leadership development
Skills
• 3+ years of Instructional Design experience
• 3+ years in-person training, webinar training, coaching experience, and able to command a room full of leaders
• Advanced skills in Articulate Storyline and Rise 360
• Advanced skills in Google Workspace (Gmail, Slides, Docs, Drive, Meet, Sheets)
• Educated in Learning Theory, Adult Learning Principles, and Learning Design
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience finding new and unconventional ways to approach data
