About the position
The Registered Nurse position at Michigan Medicine involves providing culturally sensitive, age-specific nursing care across various health centers, including Briarwood Medical Group, Canton Health Center, Taubman General Medicine, and Saline Health Center. The role requires performing phone triage, in-clinic procedures, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care for diverse patient populations, including adults, pediatrics, and OB/GYN patients. This position is part-time, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the mission of Michigan Medicine.
Responsibilities
• Deliver culturally sensitive, age-specific team-based nursing care for Primary Care patients.
• Perform phone triage, including assessment, screening, and clinical advice.
• Document nursing care accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize internal and external resources appropriately.
• Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel and collaborate with healthcare teams.
Requirements
• Valid Michigan RN license.
• Three years of RN experience in Adult Internal Medicine (including Adult Inpatient, Emergency Services, or Ambulatory Care Medicine).
• One year of OB/GYN RN experience in Ambulatory Care, Labor and Delivery, or one year of Pediatric RN experience.
