Project Manager (WMS Implementation) - OnSite

Role Purpose This role is responsible for leading, coordinating, and successfully executing the implementation of the new Warehouse Management System (WMS). The position ensures alignment with operational standards while meeting local and international regulatory requirements. This role is critical for enabling an efficient, secure, and scalable transition, strengthening operational visibility, traceability, and collaboration with strategic providers. Working Scheme: OnSite - Mexico City   Key Accountabilities - Lead comprehensive WMS project planning including schedule, budget, resources, risks, and deliverables. - Ensure adherence to standards across processes, quality, safety, and efficiency throughout implementation phases. - Act as the central coordination point between the organization and all involved providers, ensuring clear and timely communication. - Validate provider compliance with local regulations (SAT, customs, labor norms) and international requirements, as well as technical system specifications. - Map, redesign, and implement operational processes aligned with the new WMS, ensuring a disruption‑free transition. - Manage risks and contingencies, anticipating deviations and deploying corrective actions promptly. - Lead functional testing, integrations, and system validation prior to go‑live. - Train and support operational and administrative personnel in proper system use. - Measure post‑implementation performance, ensuring achievement of KPIs such as inventory accuracy, picking times, and traceability.   What Success Looks Like - Smooth, controlled transition from legacy systems to the new WMS. - Full compliance with local and international regulations. - Operational KPIs improve as expected (accuracy, speed, visibility). - Providers deliver according to quality, timing, and regulatory requirements. - The organization adopts and effectively uses the new WMS without disruption.   Candidate Profile - Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Systems, or related field. - Strong previous experience leading complex technology implementations (ideally WMS). - Deep knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain processes. - Preferably experienced with Lean methodologies or Production Systems. - Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams. - Advanced/Fluent English, required for coordination with U.S.‑based teams. - Knowledge of applicable local regulations for logistics and customs operations.   Why This Role Exists Implementing a WMS represents a major structural transformation involving technical, operational, regulatory, and international coordination challenges.
