About the Role: Leading Our Member Advocacy Team to Excellence
We're seeking a highly skilled and passionate Member Advocacy Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional support to our current and prospective members. As a key leader, you'll be instrumental in scaling our team, optimizing processes, and ensuring a unified experience for applicants and members across various departments. Your role will be pivotal in driving our mission forward by being the voice of our members and advocating for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day performance of a diverse team of full and part-time Associates and Specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
- Develop, maintain, and execute training and resource development for a rapidly growing team, ensuring high-quality support and service delivery.
- Communicate critical business updates, team changes, and other essential information across the team, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
- Scale processes and the team efficiently, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Enrollment teams, Product partners, our Coaching organization, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and superior applicant and member experience.
- Work cross-functionally to champion the member's voice and ensure the team is prepared for changes, updates, and new initiatives.
90-Day Plan: Setting You Up for Success
Within your first 90 days, we expect you to:
- Become a subject matter expert on the Virta treatment and product, enabling you to effectively support our members and team.
- Familiarize yourself with internal policies, systems, tools, and procedures to assist the Member Advocacy team with escalations and inquiries.
- Build strong relationships within the Member Advocacy team and across the Virta organization, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Understand performance metrics for Member Advocacy associates and provide effective coaching to enhance their performance and growth.
- Plan and begin executing optimizations and workflow updates to scale the team efficiently and effectively.
Must-Haves: The Qualifications We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in managing high-performing customer-facing teams, with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in using technology, digital tools, and systems, preferably including ZenDesk, JIRA, and Electronic Medical Records software.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, growing company, with a demonstrated ability to manage change and lead through growth periods.
- Experience in leading virtual trainings and creating digital resources for remote teams, ensuring seamless communication and support.
- A history of coaching individuals to meet established goals and metrics, with a focus on personal and professional development.
- Strong cross-functional working experience, with the ability to advocate for your team's resources and needs effectively.
- Flexibility in scheduling to support the team's needs as necessary, demonstrating a commitment to team success.
- Strongly Preferred: Experience working and managing teams in the digital healthcare field, bringing valuable insights and understanding.

What We Offer: Compensation, Benefits, and Growth Opportunities
Virta Health offers a competitive salary, with a compensation range of $69,000 - $81,000 for this role, based on our location-based compensation structure and commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
