About the Role & Team
We're on a mission to inspire magic by enabling our teams to push the limits of entertainment and create the never-before-seen! Our Consumer Insights, Measurement, and Analytics organization is at the forefront of this effort, providing actionable data analytics, integration, and insights to inform strategy development. As a Manager-Consumer Insight, you'll be part of the Disneyland Resort Consumer Insight Team, working closely with partners to identify demand drivers, revenue opportunities, and consumer needs to inform long-term strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate Insights: Create fact-based insights by mining and analyzing data to test hypotheses and summarize multiple sources of information, producing objective and clear perspectives that lead to actionable conclusions.
- Demonstrate Curiosity: Proactively gather a holistic understanding of the strategic context to inform more impactful solutions.
- Exercise Leadership: Lead consumer insight projects with personal accountability, managing all phases of the research process, including needs identification, methodology design, survey design, cross-functional management, data mining, and presentation of results.
- Team Up with Partners: Foster relationships with internal partners to build influence, manage external vendor relationships, and lead specific work-streams with guidance from leadership.
- Lead a Team: Provide clear direction, manage priorities, and coach individuals in project and career needs for two Cast members.
- Communicate Findings: Tell the story of your insights in a compelling way, communicating findings to stakeholders and driving business outcomes.
Requirements & Skills
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ Years of Proven Experience: In a related field, such as consumer insights, marketing/sales, market research, strategic planning, or new product development.
- Project Management Experience: Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Data Analytics Expertise: Proficient in data analysis tools, such as SPSS, R, or similar software, with experience in quantitative and qualitative research and statistical techniques.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in using Excel or Sheets to maintain complex spreadsheets and presentation software, such as PowerPoint or Keynote.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to partner and work well with multiple levels of the organization, sharing a point of view and advocating for consumers and guests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant areas, such as Behavioral Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, Business Economics, Cognitive Science, or Neuropsychology.
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading teams or projects, with a focus on developing and coaching team members.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the entertainment, hospitality, or consumer goods industries.
What We Offer
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, ranging from $123,000 to $165,000 per year. In addition, you'll enjoy a bonus and/or long-term incentive units, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, financial, and other perks.
