About ACTS Church Leander
ACTS Church is a youngish (12 years old) congregation just north of Austin, Texas. Our worship is sacred but accessible, and we celebrate many of the great traditions of Christianity (Lord's Supper, Apostle's Creed, etc) while maintaining an atmosphere of whimsy and life. We take discipleship seriously across all ages, and we seek to help everyone live, love and lead like Jesus. We are a Lutheran church, and while we welcome Christians from all sorts of backgrounds, candidates should be comfortable understanding a grace based, faith based, and scripture based congregation with sacramental theology. You can check out our Youtube services to get a better feel for the church.
Our key staff really enjoy working and collaborating together, and we see events and programming as team wins under the banner of discipleship. We recently bought a new building, but we rent it out throughout the week for the benefit of the community, so we largely work from home or in the community. We operate with a high level of independence, transparency, and accountability.
