As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping underserved students succeed academically, particularly in English Language Arts and Math. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one instruction and assistance to students in various academic subjects, including ELA, Algebra, Geometry, and more
- Work with students from diverse backgrounds who may be considered at-risk, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents through verbal, written, and email interactions
- Administer discipline fairly and maintain a respectful classroom atmosphere
- Utilize specialized software, websites, and databases to enhance student learning and track progress
- Analyze data to inform instruction and drive student academic growth and development
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Education or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in tutoring and/or teaching high school students
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional work environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (highly desirable)
