Job Overview: As a Bookkeeper and Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of small business clients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of client accounts. Your duties will include data entry, journal entries, and financial statement preparation, as well as calculating and remitting payroll and sales tax. You will work collaboratively with our team to review and ensure the accuracy of client financials.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of small business clients with accuracy and attention to detail
• Perform data entry, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Calculate and remit payroll and sales tax
• Prepare beginning and adjusting journal entries
• Interpret and review financial statements for accuracy
• Communicate directly with clients and reconcile multiple accounts

Requirements:

• Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office software
• Ability to learn new software and systems
• Local to Tarpon Springs, FL, and within reasonable daily driving distance
