Schneiders Saddlery (75yo, mid-8-figure revenue, profitable) is hiring someone to own the entire tech stack. 100% of our code is AI-generated. The CEO builds POCs with Claude Code. We need someone to make them production-ready.
The Setup
Modern stack, no legacy debt:
• Shopify Plus (e-commerce)
• Fulfil.io (ERP, Python APIs)
• BigQuery + Fivetran (data)
• React/Next.js (frontend)
• AWS + Terraform (infra)
• Claude Code + Anthropic APIs (AI)
No enterprise bureaucracy. Family-owned = fast decisions. You report to CEO and work with a fractional CTO who wrote the book on enterprise vibe coding.
What You'll Do
Build AI systems that automate business operations:
• Customer service automation
• Inventory reconciliation
• Reporting and analytics
• Marketing execution
• Pricing analysis
Turn CEO prototypes into production. He builds working POCs in Claude Code. You architect them properly, add error handling, make them maintainable, deploy them.
Own everything technical. No "that's not my job." Small team, big ownership.
What We're Looking For
You have a systematic AI development process. Not "I prompt ChatGPT." You have a method:
• Requirements gathering
• Architecture/design
• AI-directed implementation
• Review and refinement
• Production deployment
You've shipped in e-commerce. Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce -- you've built integrations, handled orders/inventory/customers programmatically, understand the domain.
You're comfortable with ambiguity. Specs are often "here's a working prototype, make it production." You figure out what production means.
What We're NOT Looking For
• AI experience = Copilot autocomplete
• Need detailed specs before starting
• No e-commerce background
• Want to manage people, not write code
• Uncomfortable with "figure it out"
Comp
Months 1-3 (contract): $75/hr Month 4+ (FTE): $150K base + up to 100% performance bonus + benefits
Equity path is real. We're building AI automation tools internally. They work. Other e-commerce companies want them. Right person becomes equity partner in that venture. Not a recruiting line -- actual conversation for serious candidates.
Process
• Day 1: Apply (resume + AI workflow + e-commerce project)
• Day 2: Response (yes/no, we don't ghost)
• Day 3: Interview with CTO + CEO
• Day 4+: Paid project starts
No six-round interviews. No take-home assignments that disappear into a void. We move fast.
