WGNSTAR is a dynamic and growing company with a global footprint, primarily focused on the semiconductor industry. They are seeking an Entry-Level Field Service Engineer to perform on-site service, installation, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, with extensive training provided.
Responsibilities
- Become part of a team that performs OEM semiconductor equipment installation for start-up services
- There are several locations for a particular home base with start-up demands, and the job will require travel
- Training will be provided for the proper installation of the OEM equipment
- Performs on-site service, installation, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment problems
- Utilizes electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers
- Participates in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment
- Demonstrates ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Understands and adheres to all site fab protocol requirements
- Comprehends test equipment including various test meters, hand and power tools
- Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams

- Strong ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others to deliver quality repairs on a daily basis
- Ability to Travel 60%-80% domestic or occasional international travel/and or occasional overnight travel to the factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required. Subject to customer's business needs and requirements. All travel expenses paid
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office Suite)
- English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Hands-on skills and knowledge in mechanics and electronics
- Ability to use hand tools, meters, and read/interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
- Desire to learn new hands-on skills, work in a team and become familiar with a fab/clean room environment if not already
- May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds
