About Google Cloud and the Engineer Experience Team

The Engineer Experience team within Google Cloud is dedicated to making cloud developers successful, one journey at a time. As part of this team, the Cloud Editing group plays a crucial role in defining and driving initiatives that improve the quality of all Google Cloud technical content, while also providing publication oversight support to various Cloud engineering content teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Content Creators: Provide insights into proper format, fitting audience, and best use of language to content makers, ensuring that the content is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- Advocate for Clients: Ensure that the content addresses client issues by guaranteeing accurate, consistent, and reliable substance.
- Improve and Refresh Templates and Style Guides: Enhance and update templates and style guides for streamlined work processes and help define and implement optimal publication workflow for given projects.
- Manage Content Cycles: Oversee content processes for high-priority drives across teams and associations, ensuring that content is delivered on time and meets the required quality standards.
- Collaborate with Editors: Work with editors from different teams to align on best practices and maintain functional consistency, ensuring that the content is of high quality and meets the required standards.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A four-year certification or comparable functional experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in editing, content management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience with specialized editing, specialized composition, or content administration, showcasing your ability to work with technical content.
- Experience delivering or editing specialized documentation for a designer crowd, highlighting your understanding of the needs and preferences of technical audiences.
- Experience with Markdown, a lightweight markup language that is used to create formatted text using plain text syntax.
- A Bachelor's degree, demonstrating your academic background and commitment to your field.
