Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction and support to students in the absence of their regular teacher
• Adapt to different teaching environments and curriculum requirements
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Build positive relationships with students, teachers, and school staff
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with teachers and school administrators regarding student progress and any issues that arise
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices

Essential Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
• Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
• Background check (we'll cover the cost of this)
• A passion for education and putting students first
• An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience
• Special education or subject-specific expertise (e.g., Math, Science, English, etc.)
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Knowledge of trauma-informed teaching practices and classroom management strategies
