- Monitor Core Web Vitals and page load speed performance across multiple devices to meet benchmarks for optimal search rankings
- Analyze backlink profiles and support high-quality organic link acquisition efforts
- Collaborate with content writers and graphic designers to create, edit, and publish a variety of content types, including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, infographics, press releases, and videos
- Conduct organic traffic competitive analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Stay up to date with industry trends and search engine algorithm updates to adjust strategies accordingly
- Review and proof all SEO content to ensure compliance with Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of three years of experience in a dedicated SEO role (required), with higher education industry experience being a plus
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS as it relates to SEO website maintenance tasks
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with SEO tools, including SEMRush, BrightEdge, or similar platforms
- Minimum 3 years of experience using Google Analytics (required)
- A computer-savvy and technical mindset, with a willingness to learn new systems and proficient skills in MS Office software products
- Strong writing skills, using best practices in marketing and persuasive writing
