Key Responsibilities
- Develop complex financial models to support business decision-making related to new product development, product portfolio assessment, profitability of new opportunities, capital investments, revenue models, and margin analysis.
- Analyze and summarize financial statements, expenses, and records to provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to provide forecasts of business, market, and economic conditions.
- Perform financial analysis and modeling to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of long-range financial plans and continuously analyze actual financial results.
- Work closely with various departments within Walgreens to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.
- May assist in the development of the annual budget and analyze actual and budgeted figures on an ongoing basis.
- Create and maintain focused budgeting templates.
- Review monthly financial results for assigned business units, identifying key trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide data and support to management regarding expenditures, purchases, and specific costs of doing business.
- Answer complex request for proposal (RFP) questions related to new business and customer renewals.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Quantitative Analysis, or Economics.
- At least 1 year of experience in an analytical role in finance, accounting, business administration, quantitative analysis, or economics.
- Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, profitability analysis, and/or auditing techniques.
- Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or MBA.
- Experience with statistical analysis software (SAS).
