Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Commercial Knowledge with a wide mandate to identify and enhance opportunities to develop Supported Products globally. As a senior DS in this team, you will help identify extraordinary opportunities to create a tailored and intelligent shopping experience for our growing marketplaces around the world. Your work will involve recognizing huge opportunities for the team that can help grow SP business by collaborating with retail partner teams, product managers, engineers, and TPMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the technical leader in AI; lead efforts within this team and across different teams.
- Perform hands-on analysis and modeling of massive datasets to develop insights that increase traffic monetization and product sales, without compromising the customer experience.
- Drive end-to-end AI projects that have a high level of uncertainty, scale, and complexity.
- Run A/B tests, collect data, and perform statistical analysis.
- Establish flexible, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, AI model development, model validation, and serving.
- Research new and innovative AI approaches.
- Recruit Data Scientists to the team and provide mentorship.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 2+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical programming (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience as a data scientist.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with statistical models, such as multinomial logistic regression.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- 2+ years of experience with data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc.
- Experience managing data pipelines.
- Experience as a leader and mentor in a data science team.
