- Collaborate with a diverse group of engineers to build custom algorithms as needed; develop dashboards, mobile data visualization tools, and apply machine learning algorithms (classification, clustering, etc.) to answer complex questions and clearly communicate findings to non-technical audiences and cross-functional teams.
- Work with the team to design and implement data-driven solutions that don't yet exist, driving innovation and growth in the company.
- Provide input on the development of equipment systems, using data analysis and machine learning techniques to inform design decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our products and services.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of significant industry work experience in data-driven projects with a balanced understanding of statistical fundamentals and learning.
- Proficiency with Python and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, etc.).
- Experience creating large visualizations/dashboards/presentations to cross-functional teams.
- Understanding and exposure to the various stages of the data science cycle (definition, collection, preparation, extraction, analysis, modeling, and deployment).
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and agile software design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
