Key Responsibilities
- Respond to telephone and electronic inquiries regarding Long Term Care benefit administration, policy owner eligibility, and claims processing in a timely and professional manner.
- Document all calls and related correspondence using our proprietary LTC insurance system and other office processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers, demonstrating a commitment to courtesy, empathy, and understanding.
- Collaborate with other departments to advance the overall interests of blithequark, identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting innovative ideas.
- Handle multiple products and services, meeting established service requirements and standards, and acting with a sense of urgency to resolve issues.
- Escalate issues to the appropriate areas, leveraging internal relationships to ensure efficient resolution, and involving leadership when necessary.
- Assist with special projects and duties as assigned, including Policy Owner Services tasks, such as updating databases and recording information.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To succeed as a Customer Care Professional at blithequark, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a related industry.
- A working knowledge of life and health products, although not required, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn our proprietary systems.
- Excellent active listening, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different customer needs.
- A reliable phone connection, either cell or landline, to utilize multi-factor authorization for Microsoft applications.
- Good attendance and a proven ability to function as a reliable member of a remote team.
