About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to teach students aged 6-15 in a part-time, online capacity. This flexible, remote opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $40USD/hour and the chance to work with a diverse group of students from around the world. Key Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to students aged 6-15, focusing on developing their problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge
- Engage in collaborative learning-sharing sessions with students, promoting a supportive and inclusive online learning environment
- Utilize prepared materials from our curriculum team, adapting them to meet the diverse needs of your students
- Work flexible hours, with a minimum of 8 hours fixed availability weekly for 6 months, including weekends (Friday: 4pm-9pm, Saturday - Sunday: 2:00pm - 9:00pm, Los Angeles Time or Sydney Time)
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in online education and mathematics teaching
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a Science-related major (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering)
- Minimum one year of teaching, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring experience, preferably with primary students
- Excellent interaction skills, with the ability to inspire and connect with students online
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms, including online learning management systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with online teaching, particularly in a part-time or freelance capacity
- Familiarity with mathematics competition teaching, such as AMC (American Mathematics Competitions)
- Knowledge of multiple languages, with the ability to teach mathematics in a multilingual setting
