Job Overview
This hybrid position, based in our West Hempstead Office, offers a mix of remote and in-office work, with a flexible schedule of 2-3 days on and off. As a Project Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our team by retrieving patient medical records, generating itemized bills, extracting and entering necessary information, and assisting with data entry and report creation. Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel will be invaluable assets to our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Generate and prepare patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits, adhering to strict deadlines and quality standards.
- Extract and enter necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
- Make phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain required patient information, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Run and create reports, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and presenting findings to the team.
- Assist with information gathering and data entry as needed by the recovery team, ensuring seamless workflow and collaboration.
- Scan and index documents, maintaining organized and up-to-date records, both physical and digital.
Essential Qualifications
