Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one in-home tutoring to students in Math and Science, including STAAR prep and AP subjects
- Develop personalized tutoring session plans tailored to each student's needs and learning style
- Travel to student locations within a 30-minute radius of Pearland and Friendswood areas
- Utilize strong typing, PC, and recording skills to maintain accurate records and communicate with students and parents
- Collaborate with other tutors and staff members to share best practices and resources
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and technologies
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field (Math, Science, Education, or related field)
- Teacher's certification or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Understanding of local curriculum and TEKS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching and/or tutoring
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create personalized tutoring session plans and adapt to different learning styles
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to student locations
- Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or former teaching experience (full-time or part-time)
- Certification in Special Education or experience working with students with special needs
