The Opportunity
We're seeking an accomplished and entrepreneurial Research Manager to join our dynamic Client Services team. As a Research Manager, you'll leverage your expertise in consumer insights and research to drive strategic business decisions for our clients. You'll work on a wide range of initiatives across the full project lifecycle, from proposal to report delivery, and bring your intellectual curiosity, storytelling ability, and passion for data-driven insights to the table.
Your Impact
- Manage all phases of quantitative and qualitative research projects, including research design, questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis, and storytelling.
- Conduct audience, landscape, and brand studies using various methods, such as concept testing, messaging evaluation, market sizing, and segmentation.
- Translate complex research data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations through visual, creative, and story-driven reports.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to drive projects forward on stringent timelines.
- Assist with proposal writing by researching relevant industry trends and topics.
- Build strong relationships with clients through effective day-to-day interaction and issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively, ensuring high-quality project execution.
- Provide guidance and feedback to analysts on the team, training them across methodologies and driving quality control processes.
Who We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 3-5 years' experience in consumer insights, consumer research, or an analyst/strategy role at an entertainment/media/technology company.
- A strong academic record with a 3-year BA/BSc degree in Business, Social Science, or a field with an emphasis on statistics or quantitative research methodologies.
- Passion for research and data-driven approaches, with a keen interest in staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
- Experience working on both qualitative and quantitative projects, with flexibility to adapt to different methodologies.
- Curiosity and critical thinking to seek out information and understand consumer behavior.
- Data analysis skills to identify trends and insights, with experience using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and Slides.
- Familiarity with data analysis techniques such as statistical significance testing, correlation analysis, multivariate analysis, and conjoint analysis.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to craft compelling narratives around data insights.
- A client-centric approach with the ability to nurture relationships and provide strategic guidance.
- Problem-solving skills to address issues creatively and collaboratively.
- Self-motivation to drive projects forward and achieve high-quality results.
- Attention to detail to ensure error-free project execution and reporting.
- Teamwork and collaboration to work harmoniously within and across teams.
