As a Patient Care Advocate, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with our members, providers, and physicians to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, and physicians, responding to questions and concerns related to pharmacy benefits.
- Research and resolve problems in a timely manner, utilizing our computerized system to gather information and respond to inquiries.
- Assist members in understanding and maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program, ensuring they receive the support they need.
- Document issues and resolutions in a common database, maintaining accurate and complete records of all inquiries.
- Escalate issues as necessary, identifying and addressing concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues, responding to members within performance agreement guidelines.
- Maintain good housekeeping techniques, adhering to quality and production standards while complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Qualifications
Experience
- 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service environment (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in customer service, with a focus on resolving complex issues and providing exceptional support (preferred).
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with members, providers, and physicians.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues.
- Proficient in using computerized systems to gather information and respond to inquiries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately document issues and resolutions.
- Ability to escalate issues in a prudent and timely manner, ensuring corrective action is pursued and expedited.
