Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a full-time remote basis. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, processing payments, and ensuring seamless customer interactions. Key Responsibilities
- Payment Processing: Key driver payments upon receipt of notification from the payroll department, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Customer Balance Management: Enter all necessary adjustments to maintain proper customer balances, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Payment Batch Verification: Review printed edits to ensure payment batches balance, verifying proper credits to customer accounts.
- Documentation Management: Confirm batches are logged, dated, and filed in the proper place and date order, maintaining organized records.
- Customer List Maintenance: Maintain a complete and accurate computer-printed customer list, ensuring data integrity.
- Customer Status Updates: Key changes in customer status, including charge to cash, cash to charge, address changes, and minor updates.
- Cash Receipt Log Management: Follow up on the cash receipt log to ensure accuracy and distribution to proper personnel.
- Timely Keying: Ensure all keying is completed within 24 hours of receiving documents, meeting productivity and efficiency standards.
- End-of-Month Procedures: Enter all data on the last working day prior to the end of the month, verifying data accuracy and completeness.
- Additional Duties: Perform and assist in other duties as deemed necessary by the Credit Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with strong typing skills and attention to detail.
- Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to data integrity and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in data entry, customer service, or a related field, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Analytical Skills: Basic analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or Certified Data Entry Specialist (CDES), are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- Hourly Rate: $25.50 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
