Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of communication with customers, including existing and potential members, providers, internal departments, and employers
• Provide detailed benefit quotes and review eligibility and premium information on a broad portfolio of products
• Assist members in selecting medical homes and primary care physicians
• Educate members and providers on the appropriate use of health plan and clinic services
• Research and respond to claims and authorization inquiries
• Maintain knowledge of complex custom networks and resolve customer issues and concerns
• Possess a calm demeanor and ability to remain focused, professional, and utilize training to direct callers in crisis

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• 2 years of experience working in a high-pressure customer-facing service environment with a proven track record of learning and applying complex concepts
• Experience in healthcare, preferably in a high-volume call center, claims, medical billing, insurance verification, or benefits advocacy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse customers and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues and concerns
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an office setting, preferably in a healthcare environment
• Call center customer service experience, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices
• Bilingual skills, with fluency in both Spanish and English
• Experience working with Medicare customers and products
