Job Summary and Key Responsibilities
As a Food Service Worker with Morrison Living, you will play a vital role in preparing, presenting, and serving food to our residents and guests. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weighing and measuring designated ingredients to ensure accurate and consistent food preparation.
- Carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Storing food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Distributing supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Utilizing approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
- Serving customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
- Resolving customer concerns and relaying relevant information to supervisors.
- Ensuring compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
- Assuring compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2 years of previous food service experience, preferably in a hospitality or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role:
- Culinary arts degree or certification.
- Experience with food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
