As a Front End Developer, you will play a critical role in transforming complex design layouts into pixel-perfect, responsive, and user-friendly web applications. You will work closely with our team to develop high-quality web solutions using the latest technologies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform complex layout PSDs into pixel-perfect presentation-layer HTML5/CSS3 templates.
- Create responsive website designs that are compatible with multiple browsers and devices.
- Build websites with WordPress, extending and developing plugins and themes as needed.
- Work with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks to create images optimized for the web.
- Use version control systems such as GIT/SVN to manage code changes and collaborate with team members.
- Work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
- A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and how to resolve them.
- Experience with media queries and responsive web design.
- Knowledge of CSS platforms such as Twitter's Bootstrap.
- The ability to multitask on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Great attention to detail and a highly organized work style.
- A positive and upbeat attitude with the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PST.
- The ability to adapt to a diverse and multicultural environment.
- A reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone, and speakers, as well as reliable internet and power.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL and AJAX.
- Experience with WordPress, BigCommerce, Magento, and Shopify.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and their associated technologies.
- Experience with web development frameworks and libraries.
