About the Role: Teaching English Online with Flexibility and Autonomy
We're seeking passionate, certified English Tutors to join our community of educators. As a Preply tutor, you'll have the freedom to teach English online to students worldwide, setting your own schedule and hourly rate. You'll be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, using Preply's curriculum or your own materials, and delivering high-quality instruction that meets the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English online to Preply students across the globe, adapting to their individual needs and learning styles
- Create and deliver personalized lesson plans, leveraging Preply's curriculum or your own expertise
- Utilize Preply's integrated calendar to manage your schedule and bookings
- Access ongoing training and professional development through Preply's Tutor Academy and regular webinars
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and progress
- Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust your teaching approach as needed
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English (native or near-native fluency)
- A University degree or certification in English language teaching (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc.) or equivalent qualification
- Experience teaching one-on-one classes, preferably online, with a proven track record of success
- Ability to provide comprehensive materials and resources to meet students' diverse needs
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace
- Energetic, patient, responsible, and cheerful demeanor
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with online language learning platforms or educational software
- Familiarity with Preply's platform and tools (training provided)
- Strong understanding of language learning methodologies and best practices
- Ability to adapt to diverse teaching contexts and student needs
