The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team, playing a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of event information across our website and internal systems. As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for researching and verifying event details, standardizing event names and attributes, and collaborating with marketing managers to enhance our ticket sales operations. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the customer experience, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about live events and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and manage critical details (date, time, location, venue configuration, etc.) for a high volume of live events in the sports and entertainment industry, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all platforms.
- Standardize event information to ensure consistency across all platforms, including event names, attributes, and venue details.
- Accurately link seller listings to the correct venue seating and map information, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Continuously audit event and venue information to maintain accuracy on the website, identifying and correcting any discrepancies or errors.
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment to ensure a positive customer experience, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Participate in large data gathering and analysis projects related to event information, contributing to the development of insights and recommendations that inform business decisions.
Progression in the Role
As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you can expect a comprehensive onboarding process and ongoing support to ensure your success in the role. Here's an overview of what you can expect in your first 90 days:
First 30 Days
- Complete new hire training and get acquainted with team structure and company culture, including our values, mission, and expectations.
- Learn about the ticket marketplace industry and your role in enhancing stakeholder experiences, including the impact of accurate event information on customer satisfaction.
- Familiarize yourself with department protocols for event creation and updates, including our data management systems and processes.
- Understand the department's long-term goals and how your work impacts other teams, including marketing, sales, and customer support.
First 60 Days
- Begin executing tasks independently that positively contribute to the team, taking ownership of event data management and analysis projects.
- Continue developing your skills and knowledge to advance team goals, including staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data management.
- Become more comfortable with higher-level tasks and processes related to issue escalation, including troubleshooting and resolving data discrepancies.
- Grow into a more independent worker with strong multitasking abilities, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
First 90 Days
- Contribute to refining our methods and technologies to support overall business goals, including identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships to drive progress, including collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire event mapping process, including creation, support, and collaboration, and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in business analysis, finance, computer science, or a related field preferred, with a strong foundation in data management and analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze industry trends, including the ability to identify patterns and discrepancies in data.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort working with large datasets, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, including strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong interest in sports, entertainment events, performers, teams, and venues, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Work Schedule
We offer a flexible and dynamic work schedule, including:
- Training: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM for the first three weeks, conducted in-person and paid.
- Regular Hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with varying days off, including Sunday/Monday, Tuesday/Saturday, Thursday/Saturday, and Friday/Sunday.
- After training, the role will transition to a hybrid model: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote, offering a balance of collaboration and flexibility.
Compensation and Benefits
