About the Job
We are looking for a hard worker and imaginative events manager who can lead the development and delivery of elite events from in-person to virtual and everything in between in India for external and internal audiences. The ideal candidate will have the ability to mix key thinking with execution at scale, be willing to stretch the boundaries, and offer groundbreaking thoughts that would be useful. You will also be expected to investigate with the latest tools and technologies to lift our events into novel experiences.
In this role, you will be responsible for project management, associations, strategic thinking, execution, and the smart use of resources for maximum impact. You will need to have strong functional connections to create, shape, execute, and manage events for blithequark content. The successful candidate will be interested in special endeavors, focusing on creativity, concept, quality, and time constraints, and will strive to add value and improve campaigns with new and innovative event ideas.
Key Responsibilities
- Innovative brainstorming, creation of innovative proposals, and quotations
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across various disciplines to align on the stories to work through events
- Creative strategic thinker and inventive problem solver
- Ability to pivot quickly and maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor
- Informed captain on everything events, proactively ordering feedback and perspectives from cross-functional partners, including title and market marketing experts, Photo and AV Studio, Article and Publishing, to deliver effective event campaign strategies
- Produce creative and first-rate experiences that are consumer-driven and unique to blithequark
- Adaptable to hybrid or virtual events, with knowledge of the latest tools, platforms, and technologies to bring our vision to life
- External vendor and agency management and oversight
- Provide team with key direction on acquisition of venues, vendors, entertainment, and event-related requirements
- Superior project, budget, and time management skills, within tight deadlines
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years of events experience, ideally from the media and entertainment industry, including making due, executing, planning, and staffing events at a company, studio, agency, or with a brand (insight into film or TV awards campaigns is a bonus)
- A self-starter who can work independently, and under pressure, while consistently exercising smart judgment, even when faced with ambiguity
- Creative strategic thinker and inventive problem solver
- Ability to pivot quickly and maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor
- Articulate what is and isn't required to deliver a successful mission
- Be straightforward and unafraid to challenge, clarify, or call out obstacles
- Nimble with careful attention to details
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to focus in to complete tasks
- Fantastic communication skills
- Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region is an plus
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
- Familiarity with project management tools and software
- Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in the events industry
- Fluency in multiple languages
