About the Role: Providing Technical Support and Data Management
This role is a critical part of our technical support team, responsible for providing specialized assistance for our network framework and internal work area systems, software, and hardware. As a data entry professional, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data, while also delivering exceptional technical support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and verify data accurately to maintain the highest level of data integrity
- Provide technical support to PC system users, answering questions and resolving PC issues via phone, email, or remote access
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including hardware and software problems, and client errors
- Conduct site visits within the region to investigate issues and install or update equipment and software as needed
- Follow up with clients to confirm that issues have been fully resolved
- Complete service orders to avoid operational delays in resolving issues
- Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security
- Collaborate with clients via telephone to discuss identified issues or concerns and resolve problems
- Research identified issues by gathering information, investigating web information sites, and internal resources to identify solutions and facilitate resolution
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical clients
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (client/server)
- Experience working in a technical support environment, with a strong understanding of hardware and software issues
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with Cisco VPN, Citrix, Apparition, Symantec, Remote Desktop Applications, Active Directory, and various Internet browsers
- Familiarity with project management tools and technologies
- Previous experience working in a remote or flexible work environment
