As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data products and features in collaboration with product owners, data analysts, and business partners. Your role will involve contributing to the overall architecture, frameworks, and standards for processing and evaluating big data. You will also be tasked with evaluating new technologies, tools, and frameworks aimed at processing large volumes of data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, information technology, or computer information systems, and at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Information Systems, and at least 2 years of experience in a related field. The candidate should have a strong background in big data technologies, including Spark, Hive, Python, AWS, Apache Airflow, EMR, Data Bricks, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
In addition to the essential qualifications, the ideal candidate will have experience with automated unit testing, CI/CD, and creating data feeds. Experience with Hadoop and other big data technologies is also preferred.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, and Hadoop. The candidate should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
