Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer and Information Architect to join our team at blithequark. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute data products and features in collaboration with product owners, data analysts, and stakeholders
• Contribute to the overall architecture, frameworks, and patterns for handling and processing large volumes of data
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies based on high-volume data processing
• Translate product requirements into actionable units of work in engineering
• Implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages common in the big data ecosystem
• Build utilities, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to enable data flow designs
• Collaborate with engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented and followed to engineering best practices
• Construct and integrate digital unit tests and participate in integration testing efforts
• Adopt and promote continuous integration and deployment practices

• Work across teams to resolve operational and performance issues

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in a data engineering or related role
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
