About the Role: Analyst in the Compliance Group
This role is part of the Compliance Group within the People/HR Division at American Airlines. As an Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining legal and regulatory compliance by researching and communicating requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Support the HR Compliance team and Operations with tasks including obtaining fingerprint/background investigation results and processing fingerprint clearance letters; maintaining relationships with TSA, Airport Authority Boards, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal Services; faxing/monitoring US Customs results; and data entry.
- Process daily FBI fingerprints into the Access database and investigate any database issues.
- Prepare and analyze HR Compliance data between various files, working closely with HRIS and EC systems.
- Conduct advanced analytics, custom reporting/dashboards, and standardize all data used for HR Compliance.
- Collaborate with clients and the team on an ongoing basis.
- Review completed Fingerprint Applications and check for accuracy and any retransmission of fingerprints to the TSA Clearinghouse.
Essential Qualifications and Preferred Capabilities
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) applications.
- Familiarity with the TSA Clearinghouse database.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formatting, creating complex formulas, and Vlookup.
- Advanced Access skills.
- The ability to interpret large sets of data to develop meaningful reports.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong organizational abilities.
- The capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- The ability to enforce fair and consistent application of company policies and government requirements.
- The ability to educate business units on government requirements, internal and external processes, and outcomes.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
