**Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Support Representative, you will be responsible for providing assistance to patients and clients regarding insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and billing. You will work in a fast-paced environment, averaging ~75 calls per day, and will be required to navigate and work in multiple systems/websites simultaneously. You will also be responsible for receiving and processing credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols, and documenting telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide assistance to prospective clients and patients regarding any questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and/or billing (telephone interactions)
* Receive and process credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols
* Initiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balances
* Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems
* Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections, and case notes
* Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations
* Assist with other duties as assigned
**License/Certification/Education**
* High school diploma required
* Associate degree or higher is a plus
* 1-3 years of applicable experience
**Competencies**
* Healthcare experience needed
* Knowledge of professional medical billing and collection practices preferred
* Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB)
* Working knowledge of prior authorization, a plus
* Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) desired
* XIFIN experience preferred
* Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred
* Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes highly preferred
* Previous customer service experience handling high call volume preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Able to follow established program protocols and procedures
* Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience
* Must be organized and detail-oriented
* Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy
* Understanding of Women's Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes, a plus
* Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
**Physical Requirements**
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
**Remote Technical Requirements**
* Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second
* No satellite internet
* Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord
* Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi
**Schedule**
* Monday-Friday
* 7:30am - 4:00pm PST / 8:30am-5:00pm MTN/ 9:30-6:00pm CST/ 10:30am - 7:00pm EST
**Compensation**
* Pay Range: $15.50-$19.00 or State/Local minimum wage, if higher
* All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
