About Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy

Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy is a vital part of blithequark's mission to provide life-sustaining specialty drug therapy to patients in need. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive their medications in a timely and efficient manner. You'll work closely with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, responding to their queries and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
• Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits to ensure seamless delivery.
• Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
• Utilize superb communication skills to interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners, ensuring that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and ever-changing landscape.

Essential Qualifications

• One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone.
• One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
• One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude.
• Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, with knowledge of specialty medications and patient needs.
