Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring a positive and approachable shopping experience. Your key priorities will include greeting customers, assisting them with the selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. Key Responsibilities
- Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring a welcoming shopping experience for all customers.
- Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, including stocking shelves and recovering merchandise.
- Helps in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports merchandise from stockroom to sales floor.
- Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store, ensuring a well-organized and visually appealing shopping environment.
- Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any concerns or issues to management.
- Performs all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including participating in visual merchandising and store displays.
Position Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned. Previous experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred, although not essential. You will need to be physically able to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height, with the ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
