Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from consumers, including the general public, prospective enrollees, and individuals assisting enrollees or acting on their behalf, in accordance with performance standards, policies, and procedures.
- Respond effectively to all forms of inbound and outbound contacts, providing accurate and timely information to support individuals and families in their healthcare journey.
- Track and document all inquiries using applicable systems, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up with consumers.
- Transfer or refer consumers to appropriate entities according to established guidelines, ensuring that individuals receive the support they need in a timely and efficient manner.
- Facilitate the fulfillment of caller requests for materials via mail, email, or download, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Facilitate translation services for non-English speaking callers, according to procedures, to ensure that all individuals have access to the support they need.
- Escalate calls or issues to designated staff for resolution as needed, ensuring that complex issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Attend meetings and trainings as requested, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all programs and systems to provide exceptional customer service and support.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, with 6+ months of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong data entry and telephone skills, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced work environment, with the ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Previous experience with computers, phone systems, and headsets preferred, with previous experience in customer service and call center environments also preferred.
