Job Summary and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our Health and Benefits team as a Support Specialist. This role will be instrumental in supporting our customers' navigation through the healthcare reimbursement system, providing valuable insights, education, and direction to ensure a seamless and satisfying experience. As a Support Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, addressing their queries, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional service that exceeds their expectations.
- Accountable for providing high-quality, customer-focused telephonic service, utilizing knowledge of procedures and systems to meet and/or exceed member satisfaction while educating constituents on arenaflex policies and programs.
- Consult with members to support easy navigation of available online tools, from checking account balances to submitting claims, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Responsible for resolving issues without management intervention, removing barriers for members, and ensuring timely resolution of queries and concerns.
- Initial call skills are required after training, with potential cross-training to other skills at a later date, offering opportunities for growth and development.
- Accountable for protecting sensitive member information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to arenaflex's data protection policies.
- Responsible for all levels of member engagement, prioritizing effectively to meet member service goals and deadlines, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- 1-3 years of experience in Customer Service, preferably in a call center environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Prior experience in a similar role, with a basic understanding of medical/reimbursement terminology, is highly desirable.
- No degree is required; however, a strong passion for customer service, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to excellence are essential.

- Computer knowledge and skills, with the ability to learn new systems and adapt to changing technologies.
- Able to learn, memorize, and retain information, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to de-escalate and handle member issues without utilizing a supervisor, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Able to work hours of 10:30 am-7:00 pm CST, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding customer expectations.
Other Requirements
In addition to the qualifications and skills outlined above, the following requirements must be met:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with the ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds, with the ability to perform physical tasks as required.
- Ability to work overtime, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Internet speed requirements: Upload Speed >20 Mbps, Download Speed >100 Mbps, with the ability to hardwire an ethernet cable to the internet modem/router.
- A quiet, distraction-free work environment without conflicting responsibilities during scheduled shifts, with the ability to maintain focus and productivity in a remote work setting.
Training and Development
As a Support Specialist, you will be required to participate in a comprehensive training program, designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and expertise necessary to excel in this role. The training program will include:
- A five-week training period, with a product exam at the end of training, requiring a passing score of 85% to continue in the role.
- Training schedule: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm EST and 10:30 am to 7:00 pm EST, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Attendance is mandatory during the training period, with paid training and PTO accrual; however, PTO cannot be taken during the training period.
