Job Summary
The primary function of this role is to process prescription orders from RedBox Rx providers, assist customers with visit and treatment-related inquiries, and perform data entry tasks. As a certified pharmacy technician, you will be accountable for creating new patient profiles, handling customer inquiries via phone and email, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist RedBox Rx customers via phone and email, providing exceptional customer service and support
- Create new patient profiles for patients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Perform prescription data entry tasks with precision and care, adhering to quality assurance standards
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies
- Handle inquiries that do not require a pharmacist's expertise and judgment, using logical and scientific thinking to solve problems
- Assist in adherence to quality assurance standards, maintaining the confidentiality of customer private medical information according to the HIPAA act
- Report to work when scheduled and work the expected number of hours, demonstrating reliability and commitment to the team
Secondary Responsibilities
- Perform other related job duties and special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Assist in maintaining a fast-paced environment, preparing accurate prescriptions and assisting in the preparation of technical data
- Compose original correspondence, follow technical manuals, and evaluate technical data, using excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a licensed technician through a certified national program, with ongoing continuing education requirements to maintain an active license
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk is preferred, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and procedures
