Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced BPM Systems Application Administrator to join our dynamic IT team at blithequark. As a BPM Systems Application Administrator, you will be responsible for the support, configuration, maintenance, and coordination of various IBM Business Process Management systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade internal computer hardware and software systems, including planning, developing, and implementing IT services.
- Propose and implement improvements that enhance the reliability, security, and performance of the system, and monitor usage and performance.
- Arrange, implement, modify, and test software/hardware; replicate and document software/hardware defects; and review and interpret error logs and source codes to diagnose errors.
- Create and document technical requirements for projects/improvements, and make and maintain technical design documentation.
- Drive service through planning, developing, implementing, supporting, and reporting project solutions, standards, policies, monitoring services, configurations, and procedures.
- Research, analyze, and recommend changes required for system growth using industry-standard monitoring and research tools.
- Identify potential opportunities for streamlining and increasing efficiency through continuous process improvement.
- Manage and direct virtual and physical servers, including server provisioning, upgrading, installing, monitoring, maintaining, and performance optimization.
- Identify, develop, implement, evaluate, and modify process improvements, procedures, and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Perform shell and piece-level programming and system-specific requirements, and maintain various middleware conditions.
- Install, configure, and monitor all BAW/BPM, Application Server, and web server systems, ensuring scalability and performance of IBM BAW/BPM applications.
- Collaborate with architects to implement and support system design, and create and deliver code to the necessary operating systems.
- Participate in effective post-implementation activities, and make and maintain technical design documentation, identifying which applications are affected by the design and related interfaces.
- Recommend and follow security management best practices, including ongoing awareness of current threats, inspection of server logs, and other security management processes.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a BPM Systems Administrator.
- 2+ years of experience with BAW/BPM.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux RHEL 7 or 8 operating system utilities.
- Experience with Oracle, DB2, and the installation and maintenance of middleware technologies.
- Knowledge of at least one Web Server, such as IBM WebSphere or Apache.
- Familiarity with systems monitoring tools/dashboards/scripts, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or Application Insights.
- Experience with system configuration and administration of Landscape.
- Knowledge of DocuSign configuration and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Instana monitoring tools.
- Experience with application deployment tools, such as Udeploy.
- Automation scripting skills, such as Powershell or Python.
- Availability for occasional weekend system support and participation in rotating on-call emergency support 24x7.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience with IBM Cloud.
- Experience with IBM Cloud Toolchain.
- Collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of "getting things done" and strong organizational and time management skills.
